Arched cabin plans. Of all my 1911's, the most naturally pointing and comfortable to shoot are my round buts. It's always puzzed me why commercial 1911's have all gone to the long trigger and flat MSH, since the military changed from 1911 to 1911A1 after much feed back from the troops. Most all 1911's back then were arched. It requires a tad of wrist adjustment to align the sights. If you find your are consistently indexing the gun below the intended point of aim, an arched mainspring should elevate the position of the gun to point higher. If you plan to shoot your weapon from the draw, I would take the time to experiment with both to see which MS housing shape helps you to align the sights on target the best.
